Food Guide for Disneys Halloween Season
It’s that time of year again friends! I’ve had my door decorated with pumpkins since the first week of September so if you couldn’t tell, I love the holiday season. Today’s post is dedicated to the treats in Disneyland themed for Halloween! Unfortunately I won’t be in the parks at all while it’s decorated for this holiday. But don’t worry… I’ll be there to test out all the Christmas treats hehe.
The first thing I’ll talk about is the “Spokey-Cone” macaron from the Cozy Cone!
This macaron has a marshmallow buttercream filling with hella candy corn stuffed in there also! This is a returning item at Disneyland, so I was able to check out some Youtube videos on this product. From all the videos I watched, the common conclusion was that it was SOO sweet. I personally don’t like macarons so you’ll never catch me eating this but if you have a wild sweet tooth, then give it a try!
Caramel Apple Smoothie from Schmoozies
This smoothie consists of apple, caramel and ice cream! This is a returning item as well. I can already tell you that I don’t like it based off the name. This is a milkshake… not a smoothie. I’ve made a lot of milkshakes and smoothies in my life and if it has ice cream in it, it should be described as a milkshake. I’ll say right now that I will never try this because it’s advertised as a smoothie haha. But hey, a lot of people enjoy it so you might also!
Spider Silk Macaron Sandwich from Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream
This also a returning seasonal item to the Disneyland Resort. This is a charcoal cherry ice cream topped with a raspberry sauce and popping candy sandwiched between two macarons. I’ve also done some research on this returning item and have heard some great things! A lot of people mentioned how yummy the flavors of the ice cream are mixed with the popping candy. BUT in every video I watched, the sandwich fell apart super easily. Like I said earlier, I don’t like macarons so this is a no from me. But if you try this, I’d honestly suggest putting it in a bowl and eating it with a spoon to minimize the mess!
Pumpkin Spice Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar
This is a poppin returning item also woo! These are the pumpkin spice beignets. They carry a seasonal beignet for every holiday and this one is quite popular. I’ve heard it’s like a PSL but in donut form, yum! I’m sure this isn’t shocking, but I haven’t had these either. I don’t go to Disney often when it’s Halloween time so all these snacks are new to me as well.
CARAMEL APPLES WOOO
Omg my favorite treat! These are what some of the seasonal apples look like. I believe they also have a Jack Skellington as well as some villain themed ones. These treats will always be my favorite, but my wallet disagrees with me. These range from $11-$15. And they don’t slice them for you either. Apparently they used to do it, but aren’t allowed anymore. Lame. After discovering caramel apples at my local Safeway for $3, unfortunately I no longer buy these from Disney booo. BUT they are still one of my favs. It’s just the fact that it’s from Disney that makes me happy hehe.
Frozen Abuelita Horchata from Rancho del Zocalo
There aren’t any pictures of this item so I am under the assumption it’s new! It is a frozen Mexican hot chocolate with layers of frozen horchata. I really hope they continue this item throughout the Christmas season because this sounds amazing. I’ve heard amazing things about the frozen horchata they already carry at Disney, so I know they won’t disappoint.
This is only a small portion of seasonal treats coming to the parks! I hope this post inspires you to try something new if you intend on visiting Disneyland for Halloween! WOO HAPPY OCTOBER!
