Trader Joe's "Garlic & Herb Pizza Dough"

Rating 6/10

Okay at first I wasn’t too fond of this product, but it really grew on me. I think my issue is that I didn’t have flour or a rolling pin, therefore it was sticking everywhere and was hella uneven. It cooks in around 10 minutes which is nice, and is actually really easy if you have the right tools hehe.

I put buffalo sauce and a pepper jack cheese blend on my pizza yum!! I think next time I should use a real marinara or pesto sauce because the buffalo sauce was really liquidy.

This dough was $1.19 (in the hummus section)!! Usually premade pizzas are like $7. I’m too poor for that, especially when I’ll eat it in 2 sittings. The cheese I got was around $3-$4 (stay tuned for that blog post) and the buffalo sauce was $2.50ish. In the end it will cost around the same as a premade pizza but there is obviously leftover cheese, sauce and dough! The ingredients last a lot longer in the long run.

The pizza dough can also be put in the freezer yay! The shelflife is only a few days because TJ tries to eliminate as many preservatives as possible, so I read that you can put it in the freezer so it doesn’t go to waste.

It actually tasted really good, but I just didn’t execute it the way I hoped haha. When I cook my leftover dough, I’m going to keep it plain and use it more as a soft pita to pair with some pasta or something!

I defs want to try it again and should probably get a rolling pin.
