Trader Joe's "Basmati Rice"

Rating 9/10

Let me start by discussing why I even got this rice… I wanted to sound more extravagant when it came to the ingredients I use in the kitchen haha. This rice is grown in the Himalayas, which is the “world’s premier growing region for basmati rice” according to the TJ label.

What I love most about this rice is the texture over time. Usually when you put white rice in the fridge for a few days, it gets hard and crunchy and doesn’t retain that softness it originally had. This rice DOES! It stays soft after two days of refrigeration. It obviously tastes like white rice, but the texture really makes a difference. I can honestly say that I will never buy plain white rice again.

The bag of rice was about $2.50 (this is an estimation hehe) and it is a 2 pound bag! I’ve cooked it twice already and still have over half the bag left woo!

My only slight issue is that you have to rinse the rice before you cook it. This isn’t a huge burden, but is just another step haha. So my laziness decided to give a rating of 9/10.

Thank you so much for reading my blog!!

xoxo, Madd
