My FAVORITE Disneyland Treats
I am dedicating this post to my all time favorite food items at Disneyland! Everyone should give these a try at least once. If you are looking to feed a family, maybe this won’t be the most practical. I hope you consider giving these treats a try! The prices may be a tad off if they’ve increased at the parks recently, but you get the idea.
Mickey Shaped Pretzel- $4.59
This is one of my favorite snacks in the parks. Yes, I said snack. I would not consider this a meal and more of a “firework time snack”. This is the price for the original salted pretzel, but I believe they carry different kinds of pretzels with some dipping sauce options. The chunks of salt make my cholesterol shoot through the roof, in the greatest way possible hehe. I love salt! These can be found at carts throughout the parks. There is no AP discount at the carts! BOO.
(Disregard the nails, this pic was from years ago when glitter french tip was .001% more acceptable)
Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar- $4.49
Yay, I love myself an iconic Mickey ice cream bar. This is just a standard ice cream bar dipped in chocolate. This is my go-to when I am wanting a cold, chocolate treat. While it is one of my favorites, I don’t get it everytime. When you try it once, you realize that there are cheaper options out there that taste the same! But being the Disney fanatic I am, I will spend a few more dollars for this specific item! They do carry them on Disney Cruises, and are included so you can indulge in as many as you’d like. These are located at carts as well, with no AP discount.
Dole Whip Soft Serve- $4.99 & Dole Whip Float- $5.99
This picture is of the float. I usually eat multiple of these on one trip. If you love pineapple, this may be your favorite dessert! Both of these Dole Whip treats are vegan, which makes it so convenient for people with dairy allergies. The float is a sweetness overload, which I have no problem with! It consists of the soft serve, with pineapple juice! YUM! This can only be located at the Tiki Bar in Adventureland and the lines are insane, so I suggest going as early as possible! I read that there is no AP discount booo.
Mickey Shaped Rice Crispy Treat- $4.49 & Chocolate Covered Pineapple- $4.49
The rice crispy treat on a stick is AMAZING! It’s covered in chocolate and m&ms, what’s not to love? Now, the chocolate covered pineapple skewer is my ultimate favorite. It is a fresh pineapple skewer dipped in dark chocolate with a white chocolate drizzle. I usually have more than one of these per trip. This is my favorite “in park” dessert yay! These can both be found at Pooh’s Corner (which is my favorite sweets store) as well as on Main Street. AP discounts are available YAY!
Specialty Caramel Apple- $10.99
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SWEET SOLD IN THE PARKS! A tart granny smith apple coated in caramel, and then dipped in chocolate, yum! And don’t forget about the cute way it is decorated. I think the price is reasonable for what you get in my opinion.. Where else can you get something decorated like this? BUT, here is the downside. They are almost impossible to eat unless you have daggers as teeth. Apparently in the past you could request the apple cut, but they stopped this service years ago. They can offer a butter knife, but it’s like trying to cut through a brick. I usually bring a kitchen knife to the hotel so I could cut it myself and bring it back into the parks in a ziplock bag. YOU CANNOT BRING A KNIFE INTO THE PARK, so don’t even think about it unless you want to be banned for life. I’ll admit, this is a lot of work for a caramel apple, but it’s so yummy I can’t resist! These can be located at Pooh’s Corner as well as on Main Street, with an AP discount!
Grey Stuff- $5.49
This is a newer edition to Disneyland. The “Grey Stuff” came out shortly after the live action Beauty and the Beast premiered. This little grey mountain consists of a red velvet cake, stuffed with raspberry filling, covered in a white chocolate mousse. The fruit flavors with the red velvet and chocolate work really well together. It’s super yummy! I can’t multitask, so I have to sit down to eat this. Due to its popularity, the lines for this dessert is insane. I suggest going as soon as the restaurant opens! This is served at the Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland only. There are AP discounts available woo.
