Movie Review: Overboard

Hmm, I don’t know how I feel about this movie. It was fine. I would consider this a family movie rather than a comedy. I was forcing laughter, but the rest of the audience was dying of laughter. It did have a lot of cultural references that I missed and there was A LOT of scenes with Spanish dialogue, but there were subtitles at the bottom. Overall, I thought it was a cute family movie, but I won’t see it again.
My theater has “Spanish dubbed” versions for Spanish speakers which I think is super considerate!! Check at your local theater for the Spanish version if you’re more comfortable with that language.

Trader Joe's "Pesto and Quinoa"

Rating 9/10 What a discovery!! This isn’t your typical pesto sauce for pasta. This is a mix of pesto and quinoa in a jar. The purpose is more for spreading on protein or to put in a salad. I’ve seen someone put it in pasta, but it looked DRY AF. I personally put this on chicken breast and it was damn near perfect. I don’t know the exact price, but I’m almost positive it was around $3. This product has a long refrigerator life, like 2 years… which is lovely. The taste was EXTRAORDINARY. There is such a fresh pesto flavor, with the texture of quinoa. Like I said earlier, I put this on my chicken. I added a layer of the pesto to the top of chicken with a tomato slice and then later adding pepper jack cheese to the top. Trader Joe's: Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings

Rating: Eh, 5.5/10 Boo I wasn’t thrilled with these. Honestly, I think a pro-con list is necessary: PRO CON This was a really nice alternative to driving all the way to Buffalo Wild Wings It only came with 12 wings It was only $5.99 $5.99 is a good price, but I’d rather get boneless wings at BWW They were spicy and had great flavor There are “multiple” servings yet I ate all 12 BONE-IN WINGS SUCK.. #teamboneless Overall, I probably wouldn’t buy these again. Yeah $5.99 is a good price, but for all the work you have to do to get the meat off the bone, it’s not worth it lol. I prefer my Thursday nights at BWW with boneless wings.

Trader Joe's "Alfredo Pasta Sauce"

Rating: Eh, 4/10 One word. BLAND. This sauce was so basic and unflavorful… what a disgrace. I literally do not touch red sauce unless it came out of my grammas kitchen, therefore I went for the alfredo sauce on the shelf. It was $3.29 boo. It wasn’t bad at all, it just didn’t have any bold flavors. I think next time I will add some hot sauce to it to add some spice. Eh if I can’t find any alternatives in the store next time, then I’ll repurchase it. BUT only if I have my hot sauce and extra spices handy.
